16/9/2024 - Final Proof

The printing proof for "All our tracks and ways" (about the pioneering Reed family of Bourke) has now been finalised and the presses are warming up! Early this week I will order a final printed proof copy of the book and, provided that it is problem-free, it can then go on sale.

During the last few weeks a lot of quality control work has been completed to polish the manuscript by refining the text and adding more illustrative material. This has reduced its size by by 10,000 words and 56 pages while boosting the subsidiary material to now boast 50 photographs, 19 illustrations, 11 maps and 3 charts in addition to detailed family group sheets and an appendix on Bourke hotels.

The printed book has been designed as an heirloom quality hardback, with easy-to-read text and very clear images. With all these details finalised I have been able to establish the pricing: $50 per copy (which includes delivery anywhere in Australia).
